Our trainers have to be logged on duty at all times the student is logged on duty. So you're not running a team with our trainers. At least that's my experience so I'm guessing they make more per mile or per day or something like that.
A few questions?

Sounds like Swift or CR England trainers, not Schneider, or at least all the ones I have either seen or heard other people talking about. As far as being a TE at Schneider, you have to have driven for at least 9 months with no preventables, on time on all deliveries, constantly run truck at 60 mph or slower not breaking that over speed limit and a handful of other stuff that I have seen in writing. I personally had a great TE and he was very thorough and made me do everything. He didn't tell me how to do everything but if he saw me do something wrong, he didn't yell or curse at me. He politely asked me if I knew what I did wrong, and if I didn't know then he politely let me know and gave me suggestions on how to avoid that same thing in the future. Couldn't ask for a better guy I think. Sure there is probably some royal jerks that are TE's but they are, then they need to be reported or at least ask your training dbl to assign you to a different TE.Brownsfan16 Thanks this.

How often have people experienced breakdowns? I know that most of the fleet Schneider runs is older but I am just wondering if there trucks might break down more because of that?
-
From what I've seen at the oc's they are updating the whole fleet... any year truck can breakdown as a team I know had a '13 breakdown on them it only had 500 miles on it..
What exactly are you looking for in a company? I personally been treated well be sni and have many of the other drivers I have meet and spoken with on the road.. just like any job or company you will always have complainers. Driving is not a difficult job but you cant let every little thing tick you off.. if it does there isnt a company out ther that will satisfy you. -
I been with sni just a short time, about 4 weeks out of orientation now. They have a policy on not having much for inverters, my te said i can get away with a 300-400 watt without any grief. I dont run a tv but i have a few things like this tablet to charge. And running a little crock pot will be nice. My te was outstanding! We got along good, never made me feel disrespected, and taught me more about real-word stuff than i had hoped. Also told me to call his cell whenever i had an issue or a question. Ive already made a "how much trouble am i in" call but thats another story. I had one classmate who had a ###### te but everyone else i talked to had good ones. My first truck is a 2010 cascadia with 212k on it. Nicer than i expected to be honest. So far i like working here. I try to keep a good attitude and that really helps. I would recomend this place to someone givin what i know now. But its going to come down to your outlook on things as to how well you do. If you want to do this for a job you will get along well here.

They come with free Satellite TV and free High Speed internet as well.

Just trying to see what's out there. I know some of the newer trucks have them installed already so I was just curious if they were available there.
