That was the differentials this houses the bull gear, timing gears also mounts the a/c compressor, water pump, air compressor alternator. we were losing 2.5 gal of oil every 468 miles.

Sounds to me like that would be a warranty claim against Detroit since the guy who rebuilt the motor was a Detroit approved shop. It hasn't been a year since the motor was rebuilt that shouldn't be leaking.

taking a load to a town called bremerton. south of seattle. i'm supposed to grab fuel in stafford oregon. i thought it would be oh my route. but apparently that's not the case. it is south of portland. then up the 5 corridor to brmerton. it adds 90 miles tp my route. instead of taking the usual 82 through washington to the 90 and into seattle.

is it normal to add miles???? just for fuel.

on another note. sitting at the rest area. the truck next to me is idling. and losing a little water. got his headlights on and you can see some slight steam.

Hey, that is right in my neck of the woods. I work for a place in Port Orchard and live in the Gig Harbor area. Are you going to the ship yard? Also on the way back don't forget to pay the toll on the Narrows Bridge on Hwy 16. I guess they don't fine people anymore they just send a bill in the mail.

Also I think I-90 is seeing quite a bit of snow this week. My daugther is waiting for the Snoqualmie ski area to open and keeps telling me about the snow fall.

I should hopefully be heading back up I-5 tomorrow from California. I have done three trips in a row to California and could do awhile without seeing downtown Oakland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
