Why does it take walmart just as long to unload 6 pallets as it does a full 53ft trailer? I had 3 walmart stops in different states all for 6 pallets each. And everyone took 4 to 5 hrs to unload and count thier 6 lousy pallets. I mean come on. Sorry its a small rant.

Walmart is serious about that two hour crap. It's all about "efficiency" for them. Ever notice you have a boatload of trucks come in all at the same time? There's a reason for that. Every 3 hours or so they have a new fleet pulling in.

We do a lot of Wal-Mart and always drop.& hook. One of the perks of dry van..I never was able to drop hook at Wal-Mart when I was doing reefer

at Dc at highridge in pa. You can arrive 1 hr prior to your scheduled time. You time starts once you check in at the gate. If for example your appt was for 9am. You can check in at 8 am . You can only be 10 minutes late to the window passed your appt time. 11 minutes your marked late and will be worked in. You also have an hr window to be late before you are rejected.

If you are pulling a reefer and have a produce delivery to the DC in Grandview, WA be prepared to wait a long time. I had a delivery there on Thursday with a 530am apt time and they didn't even start unloading me until after 1030. Every reefer driver there was waiting at least 4-5 hours.

    thats a bunch of nonsense

yes, thats what they say but if i arrived at their facility 10min early and they take 45min for me to get to the receiving desk, thats their procedural problem, not mine

i am paid to arrive at their gate, anything after that is upon them, not me

I would have to say the Walmart DC in Henderson, NC is about the best one that I ve been to. Everytime I deliver there it was on a Saturday, and usually after 1 30pm, they gave me a door and I was out in a hour. Now the worst one has to be Cullman, AL. Very tight lot to do a drop and hookl

I had a 3 AM dryvan load to Akron OH and they said, You have to break it down and pull it off. I said come out side and look. It says Goodway on the trailer, Walmart on the bills and you don't see my name on either do you? He said NO! I said, so, I'm not touching it and he said we'll unload you last. I got 8 hrs of sleep and they came banging on the door. Dropeed and hooked in Masillon and came back to VA and home. No one ever refused a load of bulls.
