OK, I'll buy the first one. Just make sure you type real slow, so a guy can understand it. :biggrin_25525:

Has anyone tried those Kettel creations for a crock pot? Just leave the water a little bit low and let it simmer away. Seems like so long has you are running open hiway with no mountins or big hills it would work well.

    mje Thanks this.

I ain't kiddin' leannamarie. Have you thought about doing an Internet Book, like a PDF Download, like some of these trucking career books. You could post some basics about different ways of cooking.... lunch box cookers, mickey-waves, etc. Then post recipies to go along with them. I don't care if it's just some type written stuff, nothing fancy. I'll buy it. :biggrin_25524:

Hey Leanee, maybe we can work together on it! I have quite a few of these recipes down pretty good, and maybe WiseOne will let us sell it here! (For a portion of the proceeds, of course!)

    mje Thanks this.

I'd buy it in a second!!

Make sure to include a section at the front of what appliances you will be using and referring to and websites where you can get such things or at least a website of a good picture and description of it so we can get what you use.

I never cooked much on the truck - just couldn't be bothered but I know I should have.

This stuff may work well for camping folk as well - use their cigarette lighter in the car for the appliances, especially if you drive truck and go camping?

    Please do it!!!!

I would buy it in a heart beat. I love to cook (at home) and want to be ready when we're in our own truck so I can make sure we eat healthy (and cheap). My hubby is diabetic and I have high blood pressure. We can't afford to live out of truckstops and fast food.

    mje Thanks this.

Yay... I can actually make some suggestions of help here...

I think you should definitely do this... all the tools you need are already out there, and many of them are free.

You will of course want to create this in Microsoft Word, or something similar, so you can update and edit as you go along... and there is an easy solution to creating a PDF file to distribute to people...

    Go to http://www.primopdf.com/

They have two methods you can use for creating a PDF from your Word Document...

    1) If you want you can do it online in realtime with their Primo Online service.

    2) Or you can download their PrimoPDF applet to install on your computer to use anytime. Once the applet is installed, it shows up on your system as another printer... so you can select within Word's print menu, "Print to PrimoPDF". Instead of actually getting a hardcopy printout, the applet will create a PDF file from your document. This PDF file can then be easily distributed over the internet, through file sharing sites like You Send it or MegaUpload.

Best of all, it's entirely free.

Next step how do you sell it? As suggested, you can possibly set this up though Wise One. But you can sell this yourself, if you wish. If you have a PayPal account, (and you have a verified bank account associated with it, so you can take payments from people) you can use a nice setup at a site called "Payloadz" at http://www.payloadz.com/

At Payloadz, if you do less than $100 per month in sales, you can setup a free basic account. If you do between $100 - $250 a month, you can setup a Premium level I account for $15.00. $250 - $500 a month will bump you up to the Premium level II for $29.00 a month. They are setup to take payments through either Paypal, or Google Checkout. There is no transaction fee unlike eBay, just the flat fee based on sales volume.

If you do this, I would suggest coming up with a free sample book of maybe a half dozen recipes to give people a "taste". If you want to do something that you regularly update, perhaps a free "recipe of the month".

and BTW, I checked... "truckingcooks.com" is available :biggrin_255:
