Rates maybe looking a little better...

Yeah not bad, I loaded 20mi from house, 50 mi loaded 450.00, reloaded 1mi away, 310mi loaded for 1200.00!!!

 

Right now it's actually pretty good but it's always good during holiday season. Unfortunately, freight slows down and fuel goes up after the 24th of dec. But hey who knows hopefully that trend will change from the last six years.

 

Not bad at all... that's how you get it done with a dry van.. Short haul is where the money's at...

 

Quick question - doing short haul loads, if one wanted to pick up a load, say, in Ohio, and it delivers in Ohio, do you have to have an Ohio Intrastate authority, or is your interstate authority good for that? I'd have my truck registered in MI, and I'm getting confused over this hauling within a state rule. Same thing with Indiana, or MI, I'm just not sure? Would I have to go around getting intrastate permits in every single state I want to haul within?

Depends on the state, each state is different. Your Interstate Authority does not cover Intrastate.

 

Some states yes,some no. Ohio needs a PUCO permit. You can get it for just one load.

 

And some states enforce it while others don't care. Then to confuse things. Some states "require" it but you then learn it is only if you have operations in that state.
