volvo D12D engine

    hello, one of the volvo D12D 360 excavator engine difficult to start when engine is warm, it only easy to start at morning or when the engine is off with few hour.
    the engine coolant and oil temperature is ok, what is the issue for this trouble?

    worn injectors ore worn fuel pump. Use VCADs pro to identify problem

    I just went through similiar issue, it was fuel pump

    When you say difficult to start, do you mean it stumbles and missfires or does it just crank for an extended period of time with no fire at all?

    Is not missfires, engine crank but not start. something crank until starter overheat.

    thanks for reply, mean the fuel pump lack of pressure?

    D12D ECU got fuel pressure sensor, so pull fault codes and pay attention on fuel rate at idle
