TS's are usually worse then recievers if that is what your asking
dreading it is usually worse then doing it
just get busy and enjoy the ride

 

Yes there are places like Melissa Produce on Bandini in Los Angeles, but have no fear . The other driver are normally really good about offering a hand to keep you from hitting them or a fence, building or whatever. No need to worry o far ahead just take your time, and if need be gt out and look as much as you need to, when in doubt get your butt out.

ts means truck stop. and i wouldnt worry about it u will find your technique once u get out there. word of advice if your at a ts at 1am and theres only one spot open and noone is parking there, theres probably a good reason for it. dont try to get into the tightest stop in there just cuz its the last one. go find a walmart of an on ramp and call it night there

 

ain't that the truth lol you'll get more practice and get better at your backing skills getting in and out of spots in a t/s than just about anywhere else unless you just run alot of northeast stuff.....some of those towns and facilities in massachusetts and places north weren't exactly built for a 53 and can be pretty tight to get into but for the most part most shippers and receivers are pretty much as easy as it gets.....and that holds true whether it's dry or refer or anything else.....

important above all else is take your time, don't get flustered and GET OUT AND LOOK.....as many times as you have to.....and ignore the impatient supertruckers who get flustered cause you are doing your thing and taking your time to get it right.....i've got much more respect for the guy that holds me up getting out to look 10 times than i do the guy that didn't and holds me up half the night cause he hits someone guessing at it and #### near shut down the truckstop cause it was one way in and one way out ( yep, it's happened ).....

 

I am sure every new driver has looked like an idiot when backing at one point or another. It just comes with the territory of learning how to drive a truck. Hopefully if you are struggling another driver will be nice enough to help you. Of course I have read some "experienced" drivers will just laugh from inside there truck and offer no help.

 

Don't worry you will plenty of times, and so has every driver out here making a living.
