What's your average mileage around Christmas time? What company are you with? What has been your lowest pay check

Around Christmas, the best companies are ones that haul food; refrigerated trucking companies.

It really depends on our main costumer but my lowest this year so far has been 1800ish miles with a check of about 700 net. Last year it seemed to be a little better but hey i guess we will have to see what happens in the near future.

My company is refr exclusively and they still tell us that january is slow times...

The deal with trucking is that any seasonal item is shipped 2, 3 or 4 months before! We are already about done shipping Easter candy!

I will volunteer to stay out before Christmas until after the new year most of the time. The miles and freight availability are good considering a third or more of the fleet is off at home, and the truckstops are not jammed up everywhere.

    Pmracing Thanks this.

Good point. Plenty of parking! But be careful and watch for those egg noggers!
