Can someone recommend an insurance company? I've been with OOIDA for almost 2 years now and wanted to get few quotes from other companies in order to compare the rates. Thanks :biggrin_2558:

I had COOL, which stands for Continental owner operators something, (can't remember) out of either Bozeman or Butte Mt. A really good rate, but I have a really good driving record.

Northland for several years, Progressive before that. Progressive had great service, 1 claim and they paid quickly. Northland, no claims yet, seem very good.

I had to dump Progressive as they raised my premium by 2k. No claims. But they said I was rezoned. So I am looking at Northland. Rate is 900 higher than it was last year but this will only be my second year of business.

Most insurance companies went up on rates this year. I got hit with a 15% increase even though I have had no claims, an excellent safety score and been with them for years. They went down over several years and are heading up again. They still were the cheapest on rates.

Rates can vary from one company to another. The type of freight that you haul, where you run and base are all factors which enter into the rate. I have known some who get higher rates from Northland and lower with others. Progressive was over $2,000 higher for me, but I have a friend who got very good rates with them.
