What's the best way to file your paperwork on the dashboard. When you leave the shipper, does the paperwork go on the drivers side of the dashboard. Is there any kind of dot rule regulating how high the stack of papers on the dashboard can be?

put a bunch of papers on your car dashboard.... no rules, but it does create a messy appearance to DOT.

I have one of that plastic folders that closes with string. But just that No other messy stuff DOT does look at appearances. messy trucks and logs makes them look harder

Not to mention when you make the delivery and the customer sees the mess and realizes the driver is very unorganized.

I was on the highway yesterday and noticed papers in some trucks spread over the whole dash. Which made me start thinking about how that would look to a customer or potential customer.

Your BOL belongs in the left door pocket, in a folder, jacket what ever. Never on the dash.

The only thing that belongs on your dash is an unopen box of Dunkin Glazed Donuts.
