On my 2012 ISX15 the engine spec plate says "delegated assembly". What does that mean?

I read the whole thing ,it amounts to Cummins being able to sell engines as long as they are assured of proper equipment being installed in the trucks equipped with Cummins engines so that emission requirements are met.

If any trucks equipped with the engines don't meet the standards with installed equipment, the regulators can go after Cummins as well as the OEM.

    Colorato Thanks this.
