Be VERY CAREFUL about parking at the WalMart near the Denver terminal, posted at both the terminal and the WalMart parking lot NOT to do it. As for parking on the street; because of the lack of parking inside the terminal I usually park on the street. Close to both the terminal AND the WalMart. Last time I was there the street was torn up and no parkin allowed. Had to take a right turn out of the terminal to get back to I-70.

Talked to the security guards at the Walmart by three terminal and the one in commerce city, CO
They told me that they didn't care as long as you weren't blocking traffic or close to the building -
Where is there parking if you can't get parking on the terminal yard drivers?
Good and safe -
Parking around the Denver area really bites. That terminal is usually bunched up with trailers and trucks, and the three truck stops around the area aren't much luck either.

I'm out of the Lewiston, Idaho terminal. Like it's been said before, they are really laid back and downhome type people. You don't get hassled with security or mechanics the minute you drive onto the lot, unlike a few of the other terminals across the country. Sad thing is though, I haven't been to my home terminal since they gave me my first truck going solo.

Yea here in Denver you don't get a spot early you're out a luck,
But just fyi, i believe if you go in the industrial are by the flying j on tower rd and I 70 you can park there with out
Much hassle -
my home terminal is the "heart of the dragon" phoenix corporate...best thing about it tho...if you have a problem u can get it solved...right then, right away....of course you have to walk that big ol' yard to do it....and it is HUGE!...But that said...i do like it....u just have to know it...to get anything done there

I spend A LOT of time at the Phoenix yard (because I live 20 miles away) but I'm really glad that it's no longer my home terminal. I agree, you can get ANYTHING done there. Had good luck with the trailer shop. The Qualcom guy blew me off (I reqested a new Qualcom) last time I was home. Now safety tells me I have "sensor" problems (showed me overspeed...when the truck was parked!) and told me to try again. The truck shop is spotty at best, I'd take my truck back to Freightliner of AZ before I'd let the PHX shop touch it and I'm STILL PISSED OFF at Freightliner of AZ.

Back in 2000 I went through the school in Lewiston, was and is soon to be my home terminal. For those unfamiliar with it, the terminal is at the bottom of the Lewiston grade, huge hill. While out on the training range the smell of cooked brakes was BAD! Turns out a driver with grain doubles nodded off near the top and came to after he was going a little fast coming down the hill. Amamzingly he didn't hit anyone coming down, and crossing the highway at the bottom and both frontage raods. He did however blow right into the brand new Idaho state police building, his rig was actually supporting what was left of the building when all was said and done. The secretary just happened to take her break a little late, way out of character, and that is the only reason she is alive.

Except if the problem you have is getting an empty trailer so you can go pick up your load. Been sitting here all day waiting for the office jockeys to allow me to take an empty so I can drive up to Lake Havasu and be in position to pick up my load in the morning. I get the feeling I will be waking up in the wee hours of the morning to a message on the qualcom telling me to grab an empty that has been sitting here for days, with barely enough time to get to my appointment on time.
