I agree but that's trucking for you.The only time companies and dispatchers care is when you're right there in the drivers seat picking up or delivering a load for them otherwise they don't have an ounce of compassion what happens to you nor will they do anything to try and make it right.Sad thing is they get with it because they're within the law.Well you know what, the law stinks because they're is'nt many in the drivers favor.Companies are the ones making huge revunue for states so of course the laws are more on their side.I don't think there is a law to help this poor driver out and make Swift pay is there? In trucking it's all about money.Companies are not here to win a good samaritan award. If you can't make them money then you might as well be as good as dead, they do not care.Which is why drivers are the way they are,not caring and helping each other.Companies and laws do not care about the drivers so why should drivers look out for one another.Sounds cold I know but it is what it is and as long as drivers don't unite as one,it will always be that way unfortunately.

Oh jesssus chrissssst in a handwoven hand basket! This MAN needs HELP! Please stop the truck stop philosophy on this topic!

Put yourself in his hospital bed!

I don't have the money to fly him home in life flight otherwise I would. Swift needs to be shamed in the media to do the right thing. I'm about to become their worst nightmare.

He needs to file a lawsuit against Swift, and the trainer. This could be considered negligence on Swifts part and the trainer. When I trained with another company I had to sign a document stating that the trainee was under my care as long as he or she was assigned to me. The right shister lawyer could make a case out of this, and really go after swift, because no jury is going to find a parylized guy at fault. Swift will probally settle out of court to keep this hush hush. Just my opinion take it for what its worth.

He is still in the Hospital in Riverside, but in a secure area, they still don't know who or why this happened especially the hostility of it as its almost like it was personal or something. They have sewn up his cuts. His lungs were punctured but they seem to be healing up. All the bones in his face were broken from getting stomped kick (how ever it happened) He has some feelings in his legs and a little in the left arm but he really can't move anything. He had his teeth knocked out so he cant eat solid food..... So about as crappy as human could be since he is in ICU with no one to visit him where he is. He really can't talk for more than a minute or so as he is exausted trying to. Of course he can't pick up the phone so the nurse picks it up when she happens to be in the room. As I mentioned before he can't even press the "call the nurse" button.

    He's f'ed for the moment.

And where is your "friend" from ? And where does he need to be if/when he gets out of the hospital ? This story has REALLY pissed me off. And I'm trying to look into resources that can get involved. It's one thing to be hurt (or be a victim of a crime at work), it's another entirely when your so called "employer" disavows any responsibility for their same employee. Swift can call it what they want, this man was an employee.
