1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

How many miles are on the truck? I already contract for FedEx out of Nashville. I would end up rolling the truck down here on the truck if its a decent deal. Is the truck running? if it is I would like to look at it if you get it through 371. If not I can get one of my drivers to look at it while in KCMO. I have at least 4 drivers going through KC every week going to Denver on dedicated runs.

sounds extremely shady, the trucks value might be as high as half of that figure being generous...so hes selling the contract, do you "own" the contract? can it be sold? transferrable? what is the actual value?

    thats alot of money...155k.

i dont think theyll be back, 5 posts, new account...

I would say they aren't going to answer. Yet to answer your questions at FedEx Ground you can buy either just the tractor or the tractor and the points. This buyout all has to be approved by FedEx. You will be under the same contract as the person you bought out. The truck will retain the points and you will retain the pay scale the tractor is at. The longer the truck slot has been with FedEx the more it gets paid up to a point. So basically at FedEx you don't just buy the truck you buy the business pretty much. You just have to watch if they are trying to sell the corporation or just the trucks and points. If they sell you the corporation the. You can't write off depreciation again if they already have. If you just buy the truck and the points then you can write off the depreciation for you. Is this a fair price for the truck and the points it looks like it. If the truck is worth around $100,000 79 points is worth around $40,000-$50,000 because you will get better runs, get higher pay to the truck and be closer to getting a dedicated run when one comes up to bid.
