Which one is better to run the NE and how often you get home, they said to me every wknd is that true?
-
Western runs the North East. Depending on where you live you can get home on the week ends and even sometimes for your ten hour break........
-
I live in RHODE ISLAND and can I get home every wknd and the reason I ask is because I had been reading bad reviews about this company and I don't know if I should go with them or no

We are trying to change things here.............You can't believe everything you read................... I do the orientation in Pa... I can tell you all day long how to make money here and be legal... it is up to the driver to do it...... We are defiantly better then Werner in my opinion.

I had a friend that was working out of Nazareth,He made some money but w/me between Nashville & Birmingham I tell da DM I hv to be home 4 FEMA & other home business related to Hurricane Sandy & B4 the storm w/that lousy High Priority loads fm Arizona to Connecticut that barely paid my rent. So don't tell me it getting better,Constently being ignored when I told them ahead of time 4 home time & ended up back home on Veterans' Day when nobody's working & they hv to have da Mass. ld on Tues.HOW I'M I GONNA DO ANYTHING ON A HOLIDAY!!! Yeah better maybe w/Dry Vans but not w/Flatbed there's nothing better It's just got worse!!!!!PERIOD!!!

Yeah, so far, between C.R. England, Werner, and Western Express, I would say either C.R. England or Western Express if you can figure out how your dispatcher works. As long as you can get your point along to them as to what you're wanting to do without "ticking them off", you'll do just fine with either one. Slight differance between C.R. England and Western Express that I at least noticed was that some of the dispatchers at Western Express like trying to push some loads that are illeagal in weight, but, if you push back enough, they'll work with you to get it fixed. With C.R. England, it's more of them liking to swap around loads like crazy. With Werner, I wouldn't even try Werner. With the 2 weeks I was with them, it just seemed like everyone was on a differant page, their equipment that they were trying to assign to company drivers weren't really up to par (I went through 3 trucks that all had some form of major problem or another [1st one: steering box leaking, extensive cosmetic damage, not cleaned up in the interior, etc]; 2nd: looked ok until I started backing up & found out that the 3rd axle brakes were out of adjustment and getting the engine to turn over when I turned the key was a tad slow; 3rd: ran just fine the 1st day, then, by the 2nd day battery went dead and saw a white puff of smoke come out of the battery box compartment.
So, that's my recommendation: C.R. England or Western Express. No matter what, every company is going to have some form of BS to deal with whether its trucking or not. It just depends on how much BS you want to put up with. Do your research on the company, form your own oppinian and give it a try. If you don't like it, you dont have to stay with them. -
I'm in Nashville doing orientation right now, I haven't been hearing good things from some of the people in front of me in orientation, but I can't comment too much so far, but I can tell you this, if they don't have a truck for me and send me home on a bus for Christmas, I won't be back. We'll see what happens and I'll keep you updated.

I still drive. When you have an opportunity you need to take it, that is what I did. And no I do not make more money, it was a lateral move.
If you had a chance to go into the safety dept. would you not go? I have learned and try to let the new drivers coming in how to keep there wheels moving, that's when they listen. It is not every day that a company has a driver do orientation. I try and give them a drivers perspective. Since I came into the safety dept. I have become a better driver.
