I remember back in the day when CRE first started pushing their Lease Purchase, the LP truck was a nice Freightliner Classic XL with a 500hp Detroit and 13 speed transmission and was governed at 72 mph.

your post turns into a political rant and still makes no sense. How's life in Paulbot Land?

idk, most training companies don't leave you thousands in the hole. you might not make much money but you won't be on the hook for tons either.

Sounds very similar to my experience with cre. I managed to run solo for 4 months before being forced out. I refused to become a trainer, so I was starved for miles until the leasing cancelled my contract and they took my truck. No notice because my chicken**** DM didn't dare tell me. They just left me sitting at a truck stop all weekend calling and messaging non-stop trying to get a load. I won't go into the whole story, but I have never been treated so poorly and with such disrespect as at cre. Now I am left broke and having to find a new company. And they want me to pay for the schooling even though I didn't break my contract, they did. At least I have my license.
AfterShock Thanks this. -
Although I've decided to exit the trucking industry entirely since this post, I wanted to check in and see if anybody has benefitted from reading about my experience. When I look back on it, I'm surprised I put up with England's BS as long as I did. I learned another valuable lesson with another Mormon Maria company, Knight Transportation. While Knight was better than England in all ways, they were really bad too. After a total of 7 years between working in shipping/receiving, dispatching/driver managing and being a truck driver, I am SO happy to be DONE with that industry altogether. If you have to go through a lousy trucking company to get your license because you don't have any money, I'd suggest Knights "Squire" program over CRE. Knight is not a good company, but the students had better things to say about getting their first 6 months in there. At least you can make SOME money with Knight.

I wonder why you dislike Mormons so much. Do you also hate Catholics, Baptists and Jew's?

If people actually took the advice about crengland, they would get noone for their orientation. But so many don't care then weeks/months later they get on the forum telling us what bad exp they had. They think it won't happen to them. What I would do if they told me I wuld have to wait weeks for a company trk is not look back and go home and find another trucking company. After all I was looking for work when I found this job is what i'd be saying.

after 15yrs or so of driving I tried JBHunt so I can't fault someone trying a company despite what everyone says about it. I'm with pattyj, if I went through orientation and they told me it would be a few weeks before I got a truck they would never see me again.

Your post about CRE has been very enlightening. Thank you. I have a friend who is considering going through the CRE school. I sent him this link in hopes it may enlighten him before making that commitment. Excellent review....and a great service to those of us who are uninformed.
