true t-mobile does not have the best coverage (its only who most of my family is on and free mobile to mobile cuts my costs down) however in certian parts of the country the same can be said for every major carrier. if you dont have a cell phone then id recomend sprint or verizon for there air cards, if you do have a cell phone you might get a discount rate on the data if you add to the plan you all ready have.

Or you can go with a company that has wifi access in their trucks with no cost to you!!!!! That is what I am doing. Interstate is now installing DriveTech in their trucks and it has wifi access.

We just started training at IDC and Driver Tech is awesome but Im not counting on getting assigned a truck with it installed being a newbie to the company(they don't have it on all the fleet)

I went with a sprint evdo card --- 60 bucks a month for unlimited bandwidth.

and i scored the card for like 30 bucks

I was told that by the time we get our own truck that the entire fleet with have the DriverTech, so we should get it.

Interstate is out of Tacoma, Washington. Put in the search Interstate Distributor and you should find it. They have green trucks and the web page has a green background. You should find it easily, I did. They pay their teams really well and I hear treat their employees great.

    Sprint has the FASTEST network.
With SPRINT, UNLIMITED means UNLIMITED. The same can't be said for Verizon or TMobile. I understand that Verizon limits their "unlimited" service to 5MB a month. I do that much per day......on a slow day.
Also, I have noticed that if I leave my Sprint card on, as long as I have ANY cell phone signal, I WILL have internet access...even as slow as it is.
But in MAJOR Metro areas, I have D/L speeds as high as 340Kbs.

I agree about Sprint and the EVDO card if it is important that you have access. Coverage is nearly the entire US for the slower network andthe fast network (EVDO) is in about half the US now. It is about $60 a month.
