That made me curious, so I checked my tally so far this week. Obviously can't speak for everyone, and this isn't what I'd consider a typical week, but since Sunday I've worked 6 hours off of my 70 (one 260 mile load) and if my math is right (no promises on that lol) have made $497. :laughing8:

I actually consider myself around the 8 dollar range. Since I count my sleeper birth time as well as my driving hours. Since you must have 10 hours off before you are (suppose to work) Since my goal is grossing 1,000 a week. 21 hours multiply by 6 days= 126 hours divide that by 1,000= $7.93. So thanks for the raise :)

I sold my soul for $5 and a pack of gum. Only took 10 seconds for the transaction. So basically I make $5/second. I make $423,000 a day.

I wake up in the morning and piss excellence

And I have been using Elog for 2 years now and ALSO stop by the house a couple of times a week and go home every weekend. I have never used up all of my 70. Oh, I take that back. I used up the last minute of my 70 a couple of weekends ago right when I was 300 yards from my driveway. No... did not shut it down and take a break there. Just went on in the drive and parked like usual and got the reset in.

So... not all of us are "running against the clock". Some of us actually manage loads and time quite well. Any elog problem will just expose how inefficient someone is. It will force those that are lousy at managing their time and planning loads to either step up to a more efficient way of doing things or lose their shirt. For those that don't get their act together before any mandate arrives, they are going to be really struggling when they have to use one. Best to act like you are on one now, even if you are still on paper, so that when it comes about it will be an easier transition.

I get the feeling that those that want to run truckstop to truckstop and play with Mary Jo Rottencrotch or whatever will have to rethink their lifestyle choices somewhat. Oh, the inhumanity of it all.

I guess i don't see things as badly on the pay side for every minute I am away from home as some do. I can easily recall getting paid $242 a month ($50 a month extra when on hazardous duty status or combat tour). So let's take that $292 at best and see how that plays out being gone for every day of the month on a per hour basis..... $292 divided by 720 hrs (30 day month).....WOW a whopping 40 cents an hour to have someone shoot at you or jump out of a perfectly good airplane! Man that's living!

And you guys think you have it bad. Well, I did forget that we got free food, smokes, and clothes, along with free postage in a combat zone. Guess that made up for it. As a bonus, we got the occasional USO show. We were living in high cotton for sure.
