That doesn't sound good this time of year... should be busier. Ask for a sitdown with your manager. Ask what you can do differently.

Even something like elogs will mess up your week because planners look at your hours. Look at everything.

On a 700 mile trip for example, drive as much as you can the first day. Then you use less hours the 2nd day and have more hours available for your next load so a better chance of getting longer runs. If instructins don't say "no early", go in early. Same for pick-ups.

Just tell the customer, I know I am early, if it helps you great, if not, I can park out of the way. Nobody ever got mad for me being early, and it runs 50/50 on getting in and out early. Early gets you on the board sooner. But those make a big difference in the pay check. Sleep at customers when safe and possible.

Then you get loaded or unloaded without burning the clock.

Limit that home time. I have a family too, but, I go out for out 6 weeks so that I can run hard. Also from Florida by the way. Then I spend longer times at home, which is better time in my opinion. If you got 2 days off, the 1st is unwinding, 2nd is play, 3rd is chores, then back to work tired.

With 6 or 7 days off, more play days. Doesn't work for everyone, but do it if you can.

    I hope this helps.

Well got stuck today. Thanks Conway for the dummy axle super single set up, 7' around frozen puddle at loading dock right where drive axle would be and that was all she wrote.

2lbs of salt, 25 lbs of kitty litter, and 40 min of my time to get this POS to move. Sending in a receipt from my receipt book for $10 in salt, $3 in kitty litter, and $27.50 in labor (rate the government sets for government back construction projects in this county) hope it gets turned down then next time ill wait for a $650 tow truck to pull me the 2' while having my truck on high idle staying warm.

The time has come to turn in the trk. Leaving Conway. Tired of being the local driver in a sleeper. Always del loads a team dumps off at a terminal. Then get a #### load after.

Anyone in Indiana get ready to wait. Been #1 on board since 0705 and still sitting. If still nothing at 12:00 and I'm askin to be routed to Taylor terminal to turn in truck. Let night workers know when I would be MT. Been 14.5 hrs they have had to look. They can throw a newbie in the truck that thinks this is how ##### is suppose to work. Busiest freight time of the year and we have 400+ trucks more then loads today. I see a bankruptcy or merger coming and ill be leading the parade of rats bailing from the sinking ship.

Headed to run my truck in. Noon and no load and no ideas when I might get one. Start work next Monday for a private carrier. Hope all goes well for current employees its been good working with you the first year after that first year we turned into a mini mega-carrier training company here gone too far downhill for me to stay.
