Kool and correct! I spent my time in cubicles & offices! Hated it! But I'm an outdoors guy, anyway, and so doing just about anything outside, is more enjoyable! Excepting driving in bad weather..ha ha JAM:biggrin_25525:

A lot of veterans doing trucking. At least on this forum. I did the Navy for 4.5 years as an Aviation Mechanic on P-3s I had a few jobs before then and I chilled out for a year. I took advantage of a grant for free tuition # Roadmasters and I'm now at Builders Transport.

In high school worked in fast food Hardees, KFC, and Krispy Kreme Dougnuts. Also worked as a waitress and helping my dad mow yards on my days off.
    After highschool I have done:
    Resturant manager
    Vet Tech Assistant
    Machine Operator
    Furniture Sander
    Plastic Mold Operator
    Telemarketing

and for the last 8 years I have been a insurance agent my pay is decent but truck driving is something I have always wanted to do. My dad was a truck driver when I was young and I think it rubbed off on me he use to take me with him sometimes and I loved it.

My husband worked for Wonder Bread in the shipping dept for 21 years. Plant closure forced him to find a new career.

Been in the trucking industry for about 20yrs all on the dock and in the office. Got fired over a workman comp claim to make the story short. Was able to collect unemployment which qualified me for a program that paid for my CDL schooling. Leaving for orientation with ROEHL on sun-3/8/08. Looking forward to starting a better carrier in trucking as a driver instead of continuing as a dock worker. That's OD for your decision to get rid of me now it's time to make good money!!
