Here at the customer in Houston. Large truck parking for overnight. Already a pplan. PU at CAT here in Houston, and head to Richmond, VA then to Mechanicsburg, PA. Took it only because I know that I can get out of that area on a MOnday. Just need to make sure that it is a load that will del on Weds or it will be another short week as far as miles. MAC 30 was showing some real crap, like Silsby, TX to Chicago, a 45K load from Baytown to Kansas City, Houston to FT. Smith.

At the Denver terminal. Decided against doing I-80 across Wyoming.

Wyoming DOT was reporting "strong winds/no lights trailers" along with icy spots and BLACK ICE between Laramie and Wamsutter. So I decided to stop short in Denver. My break will be up just after midnight so it's "drive all night/sleep all day" for the next 36 hours.

I've been across east and westbound the last two days... road conditions excellent, with the exceptions of some patchy black ice in the tire ruts between Rawlins and Wamsutter. Winds have been extremely strong between Laramie and Rawlins... better to the west. No snow the last couple of days either.

Eagan, LA. Ohhh did I mess up on this load. When I accepted, I was thinking that it was Friday today, so thinking, 1545 miles by Monday afternoon. When I stopped to scale the load is when I realized that today was Thursday, so lots of time on this load. Mentioned it do my DM, and he is going to try and get it T-called in Richmond on Saturday, but I doubt that it will happen. I will have most of all the miles ran off it. Oh well, just take my time, run 400 miles per day and get plenty of rest. When getting my load scaled at the Petro, guy comes up and asks about polishing my wheels, take 30 minutes since there are two of them. Price, all six, $25. Said go for it. Now the rims are shiny. Mentioned it inside, and they could not believe the price and wondered about what kinda job, so they went outside and looked, mirror finish. Early Xmas gift to myself. I was getting ready to have them polished soon, 175K miles on the truck. Sure beats the price from where I usually have them done, Sisters in Barstow.

    Omaha, NE at the J.

Heading out to Sacramento, CA for a Monday morning delivery.
Lot's of time on this load, which is what I needed.
I'll be in Salt Lake terminal early Saturday to get a b service before I am put on hold. If they can have me done by Saturday evening I'll be OK.
