Do any of the CR England Drivers have any comments about how well the MobilEye Systems works. What following distance does it try and get you to maintain? Any experience with how well it works for lane departure warning or forward collision?
Has it prevented any accidents for you and would you recommend it?

Man I thought they had like 6500 trucks? Down sizing? I have noticed they are putting out more accurate numbers on what lease ops can expect to make- and thats if you run 3200 miles a week as a solo, never happen in a million years, legally or not, with some of the places you have to go. The numbers they use now are almost half of what they use to say you would make.

How it works? it doesn't, if you leave your lane there's a 50% chance it will go off, if your in your lane perfectly there's also a 50% it will go off. if your not more then 3 seconds behind whatever is in front of you it beeps like crazy.
I would definitely not recommend it because there's already rumble strips on nearly all freeways and no it doesn't prevent much other then being a great tattle tale. If you want to drive all your drivers insane its a great idea, though.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I used to drive a truck with the eaton vorad collision system. The right side sensor was awesome. It lit up a red light beside my right mirror when a vehicle was in it. If I hit my turn signal it beeped at me to make sure I noticed. Not bad at all. The front sensor told me when a vehicle was slower than me. That wasn't bad either.

I have that mobileye on my truck. Im a werner driver and it good for when ur driving in a bad storm, late jight driving and tired, or have less then perfect visibility cause it will assist in keeping you somewhat in ur lane. However it is mainly a tattle tale. Dont go thru a major city with tight highways or two lane roads. The thing will never shut up and then u have to cal ur dispatcher to explain y u went out ur lane so many times in a 45 sec period. Construction areas are the worst. Especially if they cover the orginal lines. They thing goes crazy and mskes it seem like its ur first day driving a big rig. The other features like.spacing between u and the othrr vehicle i like. It helps me keep my distance when driving thru heavy traffic areas.
