I always look for your truck when I'm up that way - kinda know what it looks like from your avatar :biggrin_255: Been staying really busy but I can tell things have dropped off the past couple of weeks. Lucky to have some contacts, and then just see some things that make sense and work now and again... ....to fill in empty downtime between usual loads. Got a good one booked to pu Sunday night, but after that, ehhhhhh, maybe another one or two will pop.. lucky they are round trips so not getting stuck out anywhere or eatin a big deadhead samwitch having to find a way back in for the holidays.. When I call it quits next week I think I'm gonna hibernate for the rest of the year and most of Jan, have such bad memories from Jan of this year :biggrin_2556: I know you're kidding but we always have room for more operators.. :-D

I would have to echo with Rollin' Coal says.

I signed on with him in July and it's been fairly decent since then. There are times that it has been extremely trying, but for all purposes, Bill and Lauren (and the rest of the office) go out of there way to help make sure you will succeed.

    Work hard, you'll do good.

That's kinda the idea i've formed about them from reading all of yall's post.

Been running back & forth on I64 and up & down US127 almost exclusively here lately so give me a shout if you happen to see me.I'll make good on that dinner offer,i'll even grill some deer backstraps for ya:biggrin_25525:,free overnight parking with a nice wide gravel ''loop' around the yard:biggrin_255:

Sounds like you have a good plan in place though,''hibernation'' in Jan. is never a bad idea, plus i hate running in all that dang road salt/calcium. I've got loads lined up thru mid-march,then it's looking kinda ''sparce'',but that's the nature of bulk freight in our neck of the woods.

If i ever decided to go back to running under someone elses numbers,ya'll would be the 1st place i'd call,i like ''glass is half-full'' folks!:biggrin_25514:Good chat'n with ya again. You folks at Farm to Fleet have yourselves a Merry Christmas,ok?

I don't like the heavy loads anymore it just doesn't seem to do as well since the overhaul... I dunno maybe it gets better with time... I remember before the overhaul those 95,000 lbs gross hopper loads, and a time or two even 100,000... I'm sure the wimpy AG380 suspension was loving that but wow man it was a hoss loaded down like that on the few good hills I ran across up there in IL...
