I just finished training at pima community college in Tucson Az! I lucked out and was the only student in the course wich meant lots of wheel time! My over all grade is a 98% classroom and driving! CDL test was a 0 missed on pretrip, 0 points on backing with no pull ups and 4 on the road test! I come from a family of drivers and it's in my blood! I also have a college degree in applied science! Please contact me at [email protected] thanks! I also have a letter of recommendation

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I've applied to western express, southern cal/transport America, and Boyd bros. looking into Watkins Shepard and a few others. Just waiting for some call backs, seems like everyone is behind from the holiday so it may be a few days!

After trying 6 (yes, 6) other companies, I've settled at Transport America. These folks do exactly what they say they'll do, and treat their drivers with the respect we deserve. Just like any other job out there, you'll have good days and not so good days. But as long as you're willing to actually work they treat you right. I drive good equipment, get decent pay and mileage, etc. When they say their core value is safety they are serious about it. I've had to stop a couple of times for safety reasons and never received any kind of negative comments from anyone in the company. Transport America is head and shoulders above the rest!

Thanks, they told me to get 4 months experience and give them a call

2 months ago? Any luck? did W/S take you?
-
They did, I was with them for 5-weeks but had to fly home cuz my dad became deathly ill and passed, he left me his kw and a 48' spread axle flatbed and his service truck. The tractor is paid for and has a new 3406 mtr, I find out tomorrow if the insurance will cover me to lease into a guy here in Tucson!
