Hi ya'll!
I pull a flatbed and probably haul the same kinda loads as you do. Some heavy, lite, wide, long, etc.
Mine is about 6.5 with a det.60 @ 430 hp, merritor 10 spd, .3.70s on lp 22.5s
What kinda fuel mileage are you getting on average? Say between oil changes (15k miles) & what eqpt?

I am getting 6.8mpg average pulling a 48' flat/51' Step as of last week for my YEARS average....
C15 w/13spd and 3.55's w/22.5LP M726EL tires.
That said, i can get from 7.5mpg to 6.0mpg depending on whats on the wagon. Only thing that has ever made my MPG terrible was pulling empty containers on my flatbed. With the SD trailer, containers manage me 6.4mpgtwolane and 195Taildragger Thank this. -
i wish i could get 6mpg!!!!
-
What do see when you are empty?
-
When i run empty, going 65mph I was able to get around 9.5mpg with the flatbed. I have no idea with this SD trailer195Taildragger Thanks this.

Would be the only plus to all the DH.

7.05 for the year and that includes idling.. Mack Vision with the Mack 460 and a 13 spd
195Taildragger, twolane, The Challenger and 1 other person Thank this. -
I get 6.8 to 7.2 with a 60detroit @ 500/18 spd/3.70/22.5...2002 Classic XL ....48ft with a fastrack....avg weight 35k to 48k...
I keep my speed at 60 mph in Ohio and Michigan (55 on secondary roads), If I do longhaul I will bump my speed to 62
New direct shipments have been keeping me in Ohio and Michigan so I have still been able to maintain even with winter blendtwolane and 195Taildragger Thank this. -
6.4 with an acert c15,13,3.33,lp 22.5 on a t600 with no nose cone up top. step deck. thats running about 64/1350rpm.
now if i get a big wind catcher load or drive itblike i stole it i will get 4.5-5. my last load was a 40k lb container and i was pressed for time running 72 or a little better from ca to ks. i idled at night and my mileage was 4.68
idling is a big concern with the cat. idling all night can drop my average fuel mileage a full mpgtwolane and 195Taildragger Thank this. -
My best IFTA 1/4 was 6.4....IMO you can only do so much with your driving habits pulling a deck...mostly depends what's on my wagon
195Taildragger, SHC and twolane Thank this.
