transco Lines Inc, Orientation..

hello ttr board..

I just got the word to start Orientation for transco lines Inc. this tuesday ,

I,m really looking forward to this. however,, the bus trip down there to russellville Ville Arkansas from Pa, will be a trip in a trip.

the longest run will be from INDIANAPOLIS, IN to ST LOUIS, MO.. 2 hour's 50 min's..

longest layover is 3 hour's & 10 min's.. in JOPLIN, MO...

I,ll leave this sunday morning at 6:15 a.m. in state college Pa & arrive at 4:10 p.m. on monday..

total trip is almost 35 hour's, with 5 transfer's. they are nice.. have already set up the cab pick up from the
bus stop to the hotel.
as with any Orientation,, it's pretty normal. no paid dinner,, but,, they pay for lunch,
so i will get a large lunch,, & take the rest back to the hotel..

truck's are pretty new,, i think, 2010 or newer. the recruiter told me ,, more than likely i,ll be in a 2011 pete.

they are doing a truck transfer, or i would have been there last week. so there bringing back truck's from current driver's & giving them the new one's.. .. Just as long as they give me a decent truck that can do the Job.

they say mile's is around 2500/3000 week.. a lot of texas,, which i dont mind.. been there many time's before.

anyway,, i,ll let you know as i go along on how it goes ...

yea , i made it..

just got home from russellville ark.. anyway,, done the whole orientation thing. it was good. we had one guy,, owner opp,, that was there just plain up & leave. his truck was in need of repair to much. so there was just the 2 of us there..
i am in a temp,, ( loaner ) truck now,, they say there getting new truck's soon,, & that i should be in a newer truck next month. I just read the message that was sent over the q-com,, it said their getting new truck's for the single's, & Volvo's for team driver's.

i just hope i will be getting a truck that has already proven itself..
they also said there in a truck swapping mode.. Meaning,, getting new one's then filtering down the truck's as they get them in.

Im on a run now to MT Joy Pa, it takes me right pass my house.. not sure what i,ll have after that..

so, i,ll perhaps end up going to texas,, I dont mind that at all.

all In all,,, so far so good... did have a scare with the fuel card at the pilot could,nt get fuel.. was stuck in-line at the pump's for about 10-15 min's.. card was good, just didnt have a code applied to it,, got that fixed & was on my way.

I,m home for a few reason's,, to get the rest of my thing's that i need in the truck, as well as my GPS ..
this truck only has the old Q-com system in it. not sure how that work's,, but i,m learning as i go..

they did tell me,, ( you have any question's,, please call us ),, trust me,, anything i dont know how to use,, I WILL BE CALLING THEM..

I have jason as my dispatcher..

Hi there. Im sitting here in buffalo new york wigh a big lots run. Have 2stops on this one. Next is niagra falls. Bout 25 miles away. After that. Noy sure. Maybe a run down south. All n all. Things r going good. This jon is a blessing from G

yea, i,m still there at T.L.I.. things are going o.k., they are keeping me busy, right now , i,m home, on a run,, going to mt Joy p.a. in the morning. the truck i have a 2007 pete., it run's good,, it has its own shakes & rattles, but i like it...
the one concern i have is that the company is under new management, new people running the show.
& then there is my mothers health, ask me that question again in a few month's..
