Your attitude and alertness is your best defense. Most weapons have the opposite affect that people expect. Go visit a ER Room you will find citizens injured by there own weapons.

You also have to consider excessive force issues, you could be the one going to jail. Im not arguing right or wrong, I think arming the citizens is a great idea with the proper training. But I also know reality.

    "Most"? Really?

I like the training thing also, and I believe it should be done early. After all we do not wait until a child is 21 to attempt to teach them respect of others, so why wait with teaching respect and proper use of firearms.

    Best regards

I used to have two friends with me A Mr. Smith and a Mr. Wesson. Now its Austrailian. I am not afraid. Use common sense, avoid any situation where your gut tells you something is wrong.
Keep in mind I was staying IN MN at all times, I owned truck/trailer.....

One evening, an elderly lady was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint. The officer asked to see her driver's license, and while she was in her purse, the officer saw that she had a gun in her purse.

"You do have a license to carry that handgun?" he asked her.
"Oh yes!" she said, and gave it to him with her license.

The officer looked over the documents and saw all was in order.

"What kind of handgun is that?" he asked.

"That's my Glock 9MM" she answered.

"Do you have any other guns in the car?" he asked.

"Well, I have a .357 under the seat, a .45 in the glove compartment, a 12 gauge in the trunk, and a .380 in my bra" she replied.

"That's a lot of firepower!" the officer exclaimed. "What are you afraid of?"

The lady smiled at the officer, and calmly said, "Not a ###### thing..."

    This is what i like
    http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/p938-extreme.aspx
However if you are concerned about your surroundings, i'd recommend changing jobs over getting a gun you are not familiar with.......
Rule number one never point a gun at someone, without shooting them. They WILL make you wish you had
Rule number two anything other than a headshot is a waste of bullets.
good luck on your new job:mwink:

If you are going multi state you have to consider that. Also if you might be going onto Military bases. More then once I wind up going on base. It can be a PITA to find a place to store it temp.

IF you go on a base often you can check on possibility of getting permission. One base AF CO gave me written permission. Stop at gate, give letter, unload/or load then leave.

Lol, he must have looked like a kook, especially with the helmet.

Or get sued. Civil penalties can be high and if you're in the wrong they can take everything you got.
