Where is everyone?

At home, the wife just made cookies and we're heading over to my parents for my dad's b-day party. Hit the road again whenever I get up Monday LOL

 

What no more cupcakes??? See told you after you get married, you were going to lose out on those cupcakes. Haha

Sounds like the miles are improving. Did you get things worked out?

 

I talked to the man and told him that If im going to be away from home 5 nights a week I need to get more than 2000 miles a week being paid mileage...

He seemed to see my point, hes got 37 years experience even though hes new to us and still learning the system...

My biggest problem with working here is they run seniority board for all drivers throughout the week, no first come first served...
There's only 3 drivers below me here and it's tough to bust your hump running your butt off then have to wait for reloads and be passed over for the longer better paying load because so and so has more seniority than you do...

for example i've bounced home from places where I beat a driver there by 4 hours and he had a reload waiting for him when he decided to mosey on into the mill with his load...

I just get frustrated sometimes and start thinking about jumping ship, I really need to stick it out at a place for awhile because running local i got in the habit of jump out of one truck and into another when things got frustrating at my job and I need to kick that habit.

On a side note, how can companies like BTC offer 6,000$ sign on bonus's, that just blows my mind, does anyone ever see that $$$?
