It's a question of respect, if you don't have any I'll teach it to you, your choice on how you learn it, the easy way or the hard way. I'll be ###### if I let anyone talk to me like that.
That being said I'm usually a nice guy and easy to get along with. I haven't knocked anyone out since 1999.

Scratching my head on that as well.
I know the admins can check IP's for who posts what, so I can promise you it isnt me logging in on different accounts.
I call it like I see it. I wont sugar coat anything. But if someone comes here and cant make it work because of personal incompetence and then says its not their fault. Well,. I will fill in the blanks with what I know and have seen. Then you guys can make your own assessment.
First and foremost,.. I am just a driver just like you guys. I have kept my nose clean here and admittedly thats not an easy task. But it can be done. I am proof of that. Do your job to the best of your ability and you wont be crying on a forum about how you got yelled at because you crashed your truck, bailing out the door before letting your GF who was a sleep in the sleeper go over a 150ft embankment alone. Always amazes me what people leave out of their posts.
If road conditions warrant parking the truck,.. then you as the driver have to make that call. If you get yelled at because the load will be late. Well so be it. My truck is still in one piece and I am still here to talk about it.
Its their job to get you to deliver that load on time. Its your job to get it there safely and to protect your license and livelihood. Maintain your priorities and you will find things work out to your advantage.

I'm pretty much the same way.
How ever I have been slacking in my old age. (Almost 45 now). I'm the kind of guy who will punch you in the face and you will never see it coming. Used to be if I couldnt knock you out with my first hit, I'd look for a brick or run for my tire iron,.. I'd rather deform your face than fight you.
Actually I hate fighting and try to avoid confrontations. Funny thing is the last person I knocked out was an old boss who insisted we take it to back of his truck. I was fired not because he told on me,.. but one of the day laborers who we hired for the day ratted me out. Go figure.

wow, i have read this whole thing here, and my opinion is that hurst is the man, i think he should get a bonus from the company for his defrnse, i do believe he is telling the truth, i have had some awfull bosses, and the worst one was a friend of mine first, but i always seem to have those type of friends, a- holes, any way, i know what it takes to work for people like this guy and like hurst said, do your job and do it well and you wont have problems, and nobody is perfect, and mistakes will be made even by the best, but chalk it up as a learning experiance and move on, i have pm you hurst and i look forward to hearing from you soon, this is an awsome site and i am glad to be a part of it, i just hope i can get back on the road and announce that on here some day soon...

To bad you read this thread first then. Hurst has finally realized that this company isn't so good after all. He is leaving the ship.
