I said that because people like to start accounts on the forum and come to this thread and says stuff about JBS in one form or another. Just pointing out that this is a FRE thread and I think we all want it to stay that way. Nothing against JBS. As for your question. Yes I live in Ft. Collins not going to post my house location on here. Things are going good for me here at FRE. Yes I still talk with Don on a regular bases. I feel me and him have became good friends. It is hard to keep anyone satisfied on a daily bases but once again things are going good for me. No never drove for Butler. Never held the rank of a captain but I have been known to be a happy camper. You have a splendid day your self sir.

Aww yea. Got my plane ticket and hotel details today. Looks like ill be there jan 2nd for orientation and getting a pete. I like the petes cause they are 13 speeds and have the windows in the sleeper. I was curious, do the petes idle for a unlimited period of time or are they set to turn off after a few minutes? I guess the trucks are fleet spec and not owner op spec'd?
-
They're doing the best they can and can only do what's allowed per mgt.
-
How's the replacements in office doing so far? Heard they might be bringing in some new people to monitor idle times and mpg. Kind of like a performance coach I guess? Also heard they will be doing a Penske lease on trucks starting soon and liquidating existing trucks. Will cut down on maintenance and warranty issues.

You sure seem to know a lot about FRE. Are you an employee here or are you just an outsider with an over abundance of inside information?Last edited: Dec 17, 2012
Dinomite, Dark_Majesty_06 and Daniel.trawick Thank this. -
All the Pete's supposedly had the 5 minute idle turned off over the summer so you should be able to idle it as much as necessary. They are also equipped with an electric APU called Idle Free which offers you heat, air and power while the truck is off for a limited amount of time unless you have a trailer then you can hook up the reefer link which will keep the batteries in the APU charged by attaching a cord from the APU to the reefer batteries. You can learn more about the Idle Free at www.idlefreesystems.com. The Pete's are stripped down compared to the other trucks but as long as it is making you money any truck is better than nothing. Good luck.Last edited: Dec 17, 2012
Dark_Majesty_06 and Blanche Thank this. -
Alright, thanks. Are the petes systems kinda like the battery operated ones from the cascadia? I had one at crete and it was battery powered.. But it had its own set of batteries and kinda worked like crap. Is the aux heater a wabasto?

I talked to Tom today and he's expecting things to really take off this first quarter and said more changes in structure and capabilities are coming soon.
-
tom? u mean the new manager...is that the tom ur refering too?
-
You might be talking about Jerry? Don't know but talk is capacity is growing and new strategies in place to quantify making such moves. It is pheasible Tom will commence some restructure with drivers in mind, but the short term will allow for new and exciting ventures. Capital leasing and managing specialist are being added as I write and while lower pay is implemented the goal is for micromanagement to thrive throughout the operations.
