Ok guys I am still about six weeks from my license but had a newbie question regarding the cbs. Up here in the North East cb chatter is pretty normal and basically easy to understand. My question is does it go to the older "stereotyped" cb lingo in other parts of the country? Thanks in advance.
Good stupid question

Get ready to hear lots of "I didn't vote for the ######" when you cross over the civil war lines. They don't call is Childrens Band and Completely ####### for no reason...

O.P.-Nah,not really. In Cali though I think "their" on some other channel than 19 though. Never has been important enough to me to find out why..Or even what channel their on for that matter.

OP: there are a few special phases. Search CB lingo. Skateboard, chicken coop or bears den, etc....Bumpy Thanks this. -
Hi, basically no, its not like it used to be with people using and knowing the "10" codes, like 10-4, 10-20 = accident, 10-33 = time,. Actually to hear anything any more on the CB is rare. Sat radio and bluetooth have taken the place of the once popular and only outside source of info, the late departed CB Radio. RIP

Thats about what i figured. just wanted to make sure. I understand most of the lingo just wanted to double check. Thanks alot y'all.

I was going to leave it alone i knew what he meant.

your right, your right, 20 is location, 33 is accident, and by the way, under the main forum topic menu is a separate CB section that may help answer a lot of question, sorry for the mistaken info, thats for update.
