Google the internet many small brokerages have loadboards. Get set up with larger carriers, they don't always have loadboards but usually someone you can call or email in logistics who offers up available loads... Pretty much every carrier out there with contract freight will partner with independents to help cover overages.

 

Farmer John has loads you can bid on, Vienna Sausage. You have get this lined up first.
