Some of you probably remember me having both of my turbos replaced a while back? It don't have the power it once had before having them go out. I took it to cat here in Columbus Ohio (my home ) and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with the turbos and my boost was between 28 & 32 but I thought the twin turbos ranged anywhere from 38 to as high as 50 boost. Question -don't 28 to 32 boost sound low?

My 2005 C15 accert will pull nearly 60 psi under load. What engine do you have?

I have zero experience with the post 2007 cat engines so really cant help. Did they clear any codes after the turbos were replaced? When i had some VVA issues the engine went into limp mode and it wont make any more than 30 psi boost when its in limp mode.

Something is not working how it should be
Are your wastegates not adjusted correctly and opening up way way to early?

hmm I have an 06 C15 475 and the most I can get under a load is 40psi but then again my truck is governed to 65mph so I wonder if that has anything to do with it

The speed governer has nothing to do with it. My truck is governed at 63mph. Mine is set at 550hp which i think may add a bit more boost at higher rpm. I was getting 40 to 45 psi then I put new air cleaner filters in and it jumped up substantially so maybe if you change your filters out it will pick up some more boost pressure. My air filters were in need of changing badly at the time I did them.

    MackDaddyMark Thanks this.

Mine is a 62mph truck and at higher RPMs I can do 42-43. Thats a 475hp motor. Regular old TMC truck. I honestly would look at the wastegates. They probably came on the new turbos and they never set them. Pull the air tube off so it wont accuate and see if you can push more boost. If so you found your problem. Make sure you do it on the atmosphere turbo.

    MackDaddyMark and rank Thank this.
