I eliminated the trailer because it does it with any trailer, first thing I did was change out the trailer cord, I also changed the LCM itself. I then changed the connector inside the outlet where the pigtail plugs in. I searched up and down the wire harness - checking each and every place that wires plug together. All looked great except the license plate light, which i changed out and cut plug out and redid. Guess I have no choice but to continue searching along the wire harness for a short, which I will do Monday when I get back to work. Thank you all for your ideas

usually it is easier to rewire.... do you need a diagram?

i suggest you to check in the dash, pull out your radio and check behind, very often you can see wire rubbing against bracket, i do not remember exactly routing for lcm output. but the cable tie in volvo dash come loose and wire make short to ground

may have found it - found a relay for trailer had a small spot on side that looked like it got pretty hot inside, and a lil burn mark under it where it plugs in. I replaced it and so far it seems to be working! Keeping my fingers crossed.

2006 670, I'm having same problem with dash turn indicators but fuses OK and all outside lights work properly new light cord, new harness to the cord, new turn signal switch and new headlight switch. Nothing helps

Question ; Are the dash lights designed to not work if the LCM detects fault?
-
The blinker indicators seem to work but when the fuse blows the clicking sound goes away. All blinkers and flashers work when it happens except the lil marker lights in the front by the blinkers, and if theres a trailer hooked up- the driver side of the trailer has one brake light that dosnt flash like it should. I thought I had solved it with the relay, but the driver took a leave of absence and truck left the area. The driver has since returned and has brought the truck back and it has started up again. he said that the fuse would blow sometimes too when he put it in reverse. I disconnected the reverse switch at the tranny but that made no differance. I have searched the wirering harness over and over and found no bad spots. Tuesday it is going to go past our Greensboro shop tho and I have made arangements to have it put on a computer there, ( ours is still down and hasnt been replaced) and have some other machanics look at it. Not sure if the computer will give me any clues or not but im willing to try. Will post back when I hear what they say.

I was wondering if you ever found the problem with your truck Hazenson? I'm having the same problem with my july 04 made 780. We thought the problem was fixed but now the brake lights are out on trailer as well as the driver side signals on trailer (all on tractor work). Lcm3 keeps blowing. I know this is an old thread but hopefully you remember. Thanks so much.
