Well I'm curious how they will route me. Berlin NJ is just over the river from Philly. So will they have me stay on PA pike all the way or have me drop down to MD panhandle.

Not sure about that one man. I don't go to the northeast a lot.
I'm at the pilot in Georgia, i85 exit 129. Got here at 1630 and this place was full! I got lucky circling the parking lira truck pulled out and I was able to back in. Unfortunately I'm perpendicular to th other spot so of course there are trucks parking beside the ends and ill be blocked in the morning. Have to wake up some people to tell them to move ain't never fun.
Anyway, I got a shower and walked across the street to this Cracker Barrel. Getting a rib eye steak with coleslaw, Mac n cheese, and broccoli casserole. Then gonna go back next door and watch some tv before bed.
I deliver to Winder, GA in the morning only 12 miles away -
Keep this one in mind for future. I-85 xt 61 which I think is GA74 there is a mom n pop T/S that is good but a bit small. They are currently constructing a lot for 100 more spots. If you go there head south on 74 first light left behind Zaxby's and Huddle House. There's a barber there too.DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Delivered the two military vehicles in Baltimore this morning then went to TA Baltimore to wait for next assignment or clearance to go home. With 2 hrs left on my 14 the plan finally arrived: Switch trailers with another driver then go to Philadelphia (100 mile deadhead) to pick up tubing tomorrow morning. Then take that load to Bensalem (17 miles loaded). Then get another MT trailer and standby for next instructions. Supposed to be home Friday so will I be deadheading back to MD and hometime? Tomorrow will tell...
And last time I was at Bensalem, there was no apparent equipment cache... So I guess my inventory will be down some tarps, straps & bungees... -
I can honestly say I'd never want to be a dispatcher, but this week; forget it completely.

You didn't get paid deadhead miles when you were going home? You should. I've always been paid for it.
-
Nope. I live in Florida. In phase 3 I got paid to deadhead home but not as a regular driver. Like tomorrow I deliver here in Georgia and I'm 401 miles from home. Dispatcher told me ill most likely deadhead home. I could understand getting paid for <100 miles to deadhead but not 400+. That's costing a Ton in fuel and I ain't paying fuel so I don't mind much for not getting paid. It was the time I drive 670 miles to get home that I wish I would have got a layover pay or something

Sitting in Albert Lea in MN, waiting for the blizzard to start. Deliver in the am, maybe, and then off to Marshfield to drop my flat and pick up a dreaded curtain. But the curtain will get me home so maybe I can tolerate it better. Only 1600 miles from home LOL.
