Where is everyone?

Moved across to the Baytown Flying J/Pilot since TA Baytown needs to be blown up and abandoned.

Internet was useless, Boilers (that I complained about 11 months ago) were still a problem..but at least now they warned drivers about it; the transflo was broken....the Internet at Pilot/Flying J is almost as bad, but I had to pay for it so I complained to the WiFi company and got them to clean it up a little, but at least it's usable in spurts.

Won't be back to TA Baytown after this trip.

Maybe get a load tomorrow or DH'd back to Dallas.

 

Well I drove from Worthington MN back to Des Moines in this stuff! EMPTY!!! Fun times!

 

Welp, made it from Sioux City to Omaha before I had enough...it only took me four and a half hours. At times I literally couldn't see past my hood. The snow was switchbacking so much that I think my eyes might pop out of my head. I definitely won't make my delivery on time and prolly won't make it home for Christmas...not a happy dude.

Did anybody else see the crazy lightning with the snow storm?
Otatken Give it a few more hours in the snow supposed to clear up so you should be able to hit the road then.

 

Thunder-Snow is a common thing around the Chicago area. Happens a few times a year....... almost as much as Gunshot-Snow LOL

I'm getting ready to head out and finish up my shopping for the wife, then I'm coming back hoe and getting the fire place warmed up for a long, cold night. Gonna watch all the snow fly from the comfort of my couch. We are now only supposed to see about 3" of snow, but the rain now and the 20* temps are what is gonna make it interesting.

Ive seen the lightning with snow before but not like last night. I almost $**t my britches from it though lol. I was blinded by the light for a good 15 seconds.

Sittin on my fat arse hangin round the house till sometime next year. Had a month and a half saved up home time, so I'm gunna take it!I'm taking so much time off, I hope I don't forget how to drive when I come back.

On a side note, silver prices have dropped quite a bit in the last few days, so i swung into the pawn shop and picked up 10 troy oz's and also nabbed a new glock 27 for $400.... not a bad day.
