= not warranty covered but is getting better mileage (high 5's) and better pulling power.

Big question is why Cummins won't warranty this issue, except for the huge costs considering the number of trucks affected.

 

They are not covering any of it under warranty? Have they given any reasons as to why?

Sara: How did you get a Cat 550 in your 2013 truck. Cat hasn't made an OTR truck engine for a few years as they do not meet the pollution standard as of 2010????

 

If you read the thread, and knowing what u know, he clearly just mistyped in that one post that it was a cat.

 

I know of CATs in new trucks. Trucks (Petes anyway) can be bought as gliders and u drop in the motor it was prewired for.

 

I think she meant her western star has a cat...

 

And people wonder why I rent.
