Hi Dagoose...Im on the same fence..But..I'm leaning towards Maverick hauling glass. Those two companies I think are the tops as far as FB goes. I was told by the recruiter that TC is a 2-3 month wait to get into.Keep me posted on what you decide..?

Thank you for your service. They're both good companies what it really boils down to is do you want a freightliner with an automatic or a pete with a 13spd. I think you'll enjoy running flat. Something new and different every day. Typically don't deal with all the sitting and waiting like you do with van or reefer as well. BTC is also a good company as one poster said don't know if they're hiring again or not know back in june they weren't taking applications. If it were me I'd look into TMC before maverick though they don't hire in my area (don't really care) but I have seen a lot of empty maverick trucks rolling around lately then again seen a lot of TMC trucks rolling around empty too. Good luck and once again thank you for your service.

Empty running to our next pick up.... Ha! Yeah, FB freight has slowed (as expected in this time of year), but they are keeping us moving. I can't speak for TMC, but I assume the same is the case with them.

@JacktheWHack- I know that the Glass guys all seem very happy. Look up SeaWheeler and PM him. He is one of our Glass Division guys who posts regularly on here.

In the year I've been at maverick I've been home every weekend except 5. I've also taken 5 seperate weeks off throughout the year, nothing ever said to me... Oh, and I went from.33 cpm to .43 in one year. No company can touch that..

Also, I don't complain about anything! Some weeks ill run 1700 miles up to 2700... I don't complain about miles cause I'm home all the time... I'm also in the regional Atlantic division so my hometime is above average...

AIRBORNE!! Served from '85-'87. Appreciate you Bro. Of the flatbed companies..... BTC has some great guys down out of the B'ham area. Barry, Dave and Tommy. Haven't worked for BTC for 6 months now. Was the field recruiter. When I left they were doing some stupid stuff (see all of my posts on them). Know some of the recruiters from my time in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Alabama, Tennesee, Mississippi and Tennessee. My 'personal' pick of the 3 that you mentioned would be TMC. The VA OJT program can put a nice chunk of change in your pocket for the first year. Get that first year. Then you can write your own ticket anywhere you want to go. Best of the best wishes and blessings to you Bro. Appreciate your work, service and sacrifice for the greatest country on the planet. Be safe and come home. BTW - most flatbed companies will get you home every weekend (or 95%) of them. Any questions feel free to ask.
