I was just in Hinton this past week doing work on 3 leases up the willow and off onto the A and D roads.. passing the trican shop almost daily, how come there are ~150 units (maybe more?) sitting in your yard with a barricade around them?

Sanjel is hiring, we have a pretty big contract won recently but they've scaled back their ' hire anything that almost breathes ' and are going after people with class 1's already, we're also beefing up 3 more crews (pulling back 2 that are in the US and one from GP for this upcoming work.) Crews will then be fleshed out as people are needed.

I got my class 1 this past summer. Cost me $2050. Guy charged me $90hr taxes in.

$2000 isn't that much $ if it get you in a better job/rate.

I think Lakeland College in Vermilion/Lloydminster is like that, Class 1 training in packages or pay an instructor by the hour depending on your knowledge and etc.

Covering for your own Class 1 gives you the choice of where you want to go and do, instead of being committed to a company you may not like being with a few months later.

Yeah my problem is is I can't quit my job to get my class one and pay my rent at the same time.
Also being young man I don't have a tractor-trailer of my own to take test in

Lessons aren't a full time thing lol. I worked and took my lessons at night, btw, most oilfield company's are #### down until the new year so you might have better luck getting ahold of someone after that.,

Most service companies don't shut down during Christmas, but their customers do so very slow. That's what I didn't like, although you know there won't be any work you were on call so had to sit in your rental place and wait for the call.
