had some ####### in one of those fancy RV's at the Pilot in Hayti, MO ask me and the driver on the other side of him to "refrain" from idling our trucks all night.

told him it was a truck stop, not a RV park... fast idled the #### thing all night

I wonder if it was the same Swift driver I encountered a few months ago. I get to the Petro in Dupont at 3am in the morning, been at it all day and half the night. I was lucky to pull into the truck stop without running anyone or anything over. At that time of day I don't need to back into a spot. I find a spot to pull through and parked. I had my reefer unit running to precool it for my pick up at 6am. As I was doing my paperwork I notice the driver coming out of his truck, he knocks on my door and doesn't ask me to shut off the reefer, but rather rudely tells me to shut it. I asked him rather nicely to please go back to bed, for the 3 hours I'm going to be there the reefer is the last of my problems. He started screaming at me as he was walking back to his truck. Come on, at 3 am this is all you have to complain about? Just as I noticed him getting back into bed I not only left the reefer running, but then I started my truck up, then I started my APU. I had no problem sleeping for the 2.5 hours I was parked.

HAD one like that @flyin hook in La tip outs pushed and all--said I was also interfering w/tv reception--smiled said sure--slid tandems all way up so i could get reefer between tipouts and hood just even w/bedroom--idled truck up 2 1500--then went out and opened doors on carrier unit(mt trailer) set unit on minus 20 and went in to eat and shower:):)

I love these kinds of things, it makes me smile lol. I think that's awesome, I can't stand when RV drivers park in truck parking spots

I parked next to one in Florida this week.He had the slide outs open,TV going and all right in the truck parking.
The RV side of the rest area was about empty too.
He was about hanging in my parking spot too with the slides open.

I pull in and get a nasty look from a woman in the fancy RV.
I had a load on that did not need the reefer running but i fired it up and set it to 30 degrees so it would run wide open.
Idled the truck up,shut my curtains and off to sleep i went....lol!

These people drive 250k dollar coaches but have to use truck parking.....
Shows you even rich people are stupid......rude too!

All i can say is F-them! go find a camp ground!

I agree and would have done the same thing. They're at a TRUCK STOP!!!! To expect peace and quiet is like trying to baptize a cat

The Swift driver that was complaining, did this happen to be at a truckstop with Idleair or something similar?

I hated it when Idleair would have signs up with "No Idling" in a spot and some mega carrier steering wheel holder would pull in and idle.
