I will make this real easy for you. Cranes do not qualify for oil field exemption under 395.1 so you must be on a 34 hour restart which changes 7-1-2013. also you cannot take the exemption for waiting at well site, because a crane is not specific to oil field operations, another words they can be used in almost any trade. you get 14 hours to drive 11, once you have driven 11 hours you must take 10 hours consecutive off duty or sleeper birth. you can stay on duuty as long as you want, but you can not drive after the 14th hour without have 10 hours off. as a dot regulated driver if you are within your 100 air miles = 115 road miles, you can log onduty not driving, this way you will keep within the previous 7 day log requirement, and you will know how much of your 60/70 hour rule you have left. you get your 60/70 hours by counting all drive time and on-duty time. if you reach that limit (60-70) at noon, then you have to be off duty the rest of the log page so that the 1st day of your previous 7 day logs drops off and then you recount.
