Hey, I did learn late last night from a British fellow on the radio that not only did we have winter solstice, but also the sun passed the galactic equator on the same date. That only happens every 26000 years, plus or minus a few centuries. Who da' thunk? Apparently the Mayans had that figured out, but could not figure out how to survive as a civilization........hmmmm? Is that where we are headed too?

 

no, we're headed to extinction. much like the dinosaurs. and all other species before us.

nostradamus says rising waters. maybe he can get it right since the mayans couldn't.

 

Maybe FedEx is taking a note from UPS. Last year when we ran UPS we had lots of Swift trailers, and even an old Central trailer rebadged as a Swift.

As far as the kindle, I love mine. It is light as crud, but gives me the book feel. If someone was going to give me a tablet I would take it. Lex made that argument with me and yet I didn't like the bulk of the tablets. My daughter listened and got me a kindle, and I love it. Now we download a lot of my youngest's books so she can read her schoolwork

 

Well, we get a new wheel for Christmas. That and the wonderful opportunity to babysit a military engine while passing within 100 miles of Grandma, who could ask for a better Christmas

 

i'll just stick with my phone. (as long as i have to anyways since i can't get rid of the pos)

it's a kindle, a nook, an ipod, a tom tom, a computer, a telegraph, and a phone. all wrapped into one device.

 

Mine does all that as well but guess I like my Laptop, Kindle and gps lol all different electronics.

 

Mine does it all too, but I like having the laptop for some things, kindle for sone, and phone for a lot. Heck the PS3 is a computer too. And thinking of getting a smartv. Multipurpose electronics are great.

We got 4 or the 7 kids Kindle Pro's for Christmas. We love our iPads (but not an Apple fan) but not going to drop that kind of coin on the kids. OK, not kids but adult children.
