I meant "ouch, your first trip out with a new company and that was what the weather was like? what a way to start a new job!" the second half was a joke about what a new company might ask a new driver they didn't know heading out on his first trip in that type of weather.

The first one is 97 between Bend and Klamath Falls, OR, the second is stopped near Donners waiting for them to clear a multiple 4 wheeler spin out.

snow doesn't bother me as long as there isn't a lot of traffic to mess ya up.
cut my teeth running Canada every week for the first 15 yrs of driving.

 

I ran donner on a regular basis several years ago. I got so sick of chaining that finally when I saw the sign go up I'd turn around and go to the casino and wait it out. Usually wasn't long.
