Yah I've heard other drivers say if you have a good enough reason they will let you install one. Well staying healthy and saving money I think are 2 great reasons for a husband wife team to be able to install one! This man cannot live without his Ice Cream! Wait did I say staying healthy? I eat only 1 scoop of low fat ice cream every other day after my jog around the truck! Lol :biggrin_2559:

Jbkrash, I had a similar one in my old Eagle, heres the deal, When the compressor comes on it will spike the watts on my 1,500 watt inverter at around 700 to 800 for a millisecond or so, then run at a constant 40 watts until it cycles off. So, in theory the 400 watt inverter probably won't get the compressor up and running.

Also, a lot of folks that install the larger inverters don't know what they are doing. It has to be hardwired to the battery with a large enough fuse to trip if it needs to, but still allow the amps going through the wires.

Thank you! Yep that is what we found out. The 400w invector did not work. It worked for the light but when the compressor kicked on it popped the invertor. Hopefully the company will let the mechanics install a invertor to run it now.
