No empties in Lawerenceville on Christmas eve. Bobtailed to ....wait for it....Miami Gardens to get a trailer, then home two hours later! Better to bobtail those 600 plus miles than to pull an empty for fuel costs reasons. Either way, I made it! Thanks Conway Truckload.

Thanks to you guys out there working so we can get the time off! Really, thank you and be safe....coming back on the 3rd.

Well The north east is about to get hammered with a storm guys. Anyone gets stuck goin to Topton or on I81/I95/I287 ill pull you out. Going back to bed so I can pull my load to the farms in PA before storm really gets angry. Just remember to be safe and that Connecticut likes to shut down its highways so have a plan to get to I90 in MA to keep running

Still sitting at RockTenn. (since about 11:45 last night) 12:01 am appt.......at first it was understandable as I assumedmy detention was due to the storm. Now I am getting ticked......its 7:30 cs and Ive seen someone moving around in there off and on since 6, but I still sit at a padlocked gate.

Good to hear you survived Iowa .....I wonder if they rented cars out of ATL for the FL folks again ...I heard 20+ drivers went home last year in cars from Lawrenceville ga...

Bobtail is usally the last option cause of the insurance and hazards of running on wet roads with a tag axel....but great for your fuel mpg

Thanks TruckerPete we were down by exit 85 on I-30 sat there for about 45 mins and then I guess our wheel got hot enough to melt the snow because we tried to go forward and the truck started slowly up the hill, a wrecker was going to come and help but according to road service we were #16 on their list and it could be awhile so they told us to try again and it worked. Alot of bad accidents and power lines down, seen one go down

just another heads up, our logistics supervisor just got word from Fed-Ex that this storm will be worse then news is reporting in the NH/VT/ME region. We are officially NOT moving tonight/tomorrow due to that and that is with double drive tires/double locking drive axles. anyone in the area looking to leave should do it ASAP apparently the best bet is stay north (I90) and shut down around midnight. we have one driver leaving with our one triple drive tractor/tri-axle trailer that is headed to Petro on I90. I guess the thinking is get there, shut down for 14, and by then the storm should have passed and plows will be out. I'm salaried so needless to say my plan, Tuned up mine and my brother in laws snowmobiles and we are doing "Barn Checks" for our local farmers tomorrow that are too old/ill equipped to get to their barns. apparently this is going to be a hell of a storm. Latest we heard was 14-18" between 2200 tonight and Friday at 0700, Winds gusting to 40 MPH, lots of power outages, and visibility predicted to be between 1/10th and 1/4 of a mile. 25% Cam2 race fuel/75% premium gas....nothing sounds better then a sled with non-baffled triple pipes....chickens will here us coming. :) stay safe all. more updates throughout the night/tomorrow. Your one fuel stop in VT, P & H Truck Stop, will NOT close or run out of fuel for you according to the owner. Road report in the morning for I93 around 0800-0900.

Picked up a relay in WM to go 151 miles to RockTenn in Conway AR. Same as other driver. Took me 7 hrs to go 150 miles. Roads are terrible out here. Wrecks about every other mile it seems. My mirror smacked a fell over tree and cracked the front of it :(.

Terrible plow job by Arkansas as well in the Little Rock area. You'll be in right lane then all of a sudden its unplowed. Have to force your way over.

    CMBreen Thanks this.
