Alright, so i got a big issue....
I have a Volvo VED 12 engine, and I replaced my Air Charge hose about a year ago, my truck was running fine, turning on perfect and so on... Before the long weekend I shut it off and it was fine when I left the yard. Today when I went to start the truck, it won't start. What it does do is chock up the big air hose and crumbble it in. Once it does that it naturally kills the engine. I have gone and bought a new Air Charge Hose, and replaced it this afternoon but it did no good.... It still crummbles up the hose, and chockes the darn engine.... What could possibly be causing this problem.![]()

Did you let the truck run for a few minuites before shutting the engine off. Sounds like the turbo coked up and will not turn and supply the engine with air so it's sucking hard. Which hose is doing it? Right at turbo or is there a valve on the intake system. Some use intake contol valve. Take the input hose at turbo off and see if turbo turns free.

Its the hose that goes on the radiator? The really big one that has a wired coil going around it. Its not on the turbo, its the one on the opposite side of the engine...
-
radiator or charge air cooler...?
-
Its the air charge cooler.

I think he means the charge air hose on the driver side. To the op I think you need to check the turbo.
-
That is exactly what I mean. Well the turbo was replaced in may of this year, so I would really go insane if that is the issue once again. I shut it off and it was fine, it sat for a few days in the yard, and today, problems....

Air filter plugged?
Ice in the lower hose? -
You mean the big Air Filter... i did not check that out... the side where the engine air filter is was really wet for some reason...

I can't beleave that the air filter was fine and now it's plugged. Unless it got wet and froze solid.
