Love how some spew drivel like this with ZERO reference to anymore than "I heard it from a JB driver who was told by a Swiftie that sleeps with a CRE trainer." Even worse is that many believe this nonsense.

Without proof the original post is crap.

Couldn't agree more, as a whole we as drivers fail ourselves... sad what this industry has become!!!

I just received the letter of the class action settlement, it's for the improper use of hire right, each person that applied to CRST is to receive 150 to 200 dollars, but it says it will be quite some time before the judge accepts this plan and money is dispursed

idk about suspending operating authority. That can happen at any time. I drove for Roehl a few years ago and got flagged at the scale in Troutdale, Va. Grabbed my stuff and went in and the scale guy told me that Roehl's operating authority was suspended for the state and he was seizing my truck as it was the first one to cross the scale. Seems another driver got a ticket, didn't pay it or tell the company and boom. I laughed and told him that was a new one. He laughed and told me not to worry about it as I could pay the ticket right there and that would be that and they also took Visa. I laughed again and told him I'd get a comcheck from the company, called them and they were also surprised but gave me one right away and fired the other driver immediately not for the ticket but for not telling them. If CRST pays a fine or makes some changes I'm sure they will get the authority right back.

I went to CRST's orientation. I lasted 3 days before I went back and told my recruiter to put me back on a bus and send me home. Had to argue with them to get them to give me a confirmation number for the bus ticket.

My first impression was horrid. 1st day I saw immature kids going there for their CDL training, grown men in their mid 20's with pants hanging off their butt and underwear showing. Jumping and running around like hoodlums.

2nd day when we went out to take our test drive with Mr Marine guy who's from here in Fla,.. while waiting for the truck to get back, we watched a driver back into another drivers parked vehicle and basically crush the front end of it. Totaled the SUV with out any doubt. Then after my ridiculous 1 block test drive, after pulling into the lot and getting out of the truck watch another truck pull out of the driveway only to drop his trailer right there, ripping air lines etc etc. Then when I got back inside they wanted me to take a refresher course because of my lack of recent experience. Never mind the 7 yrs of heavy hauling that I had done a few years prior. I refused and decided CRST was not the right place for me. Funny thing was that during the test drive, he wanted me to be a driver trainer, I thought ok this might work out. The extra money surely wouldnt hurt. I just wasnt comfortable with them enough to want to stay.

On my way home, maybe a week ago, I passed a CRST truck who's driver ditched the truck right at the i80 loop there by Davenport IA. I stopped to see if their were ok,.. young guy. Maybe 24ish said a car had cut them off and they thought it was underneath the trailer. By the looks of how the truck was in the ditch it looked like they entered the merge too fast and instead of flipping the truck on the loop,.. they just went straight and drove into the ditch. Asked me if I had any chains because they were stuck. Only way I would ever pull out a CRST truck was if there was a life or death situation. There wasnt,.. so I went on my way.

Oh,.. and I too got that letter about the class action suit. I told my wife to toss it. I dont want their money. $200 will never cover the time I wasted with them.

Sources, please. CRST was very good to me. Provided training, and a job. I don't have anything bad to say about them. I drove team for a year to settle my obligation, and went onward and upward to better things. They're a great training company imho.
