DUI 2 years ago/Employment

    Hello,

    It will be two years ago this upcoming Feb. 14 I was arrested for DUI. My BAC was .217 and it happened in Pennsylvania. Other than that, I have a speeding ticket about 2.5 years old on my record which shows on my DMV as (failure to obey traffic control devices.

    I saw requirements for a company that stated (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years). I am going to call them because I have 2.

    I'm concerned that it will be near impossible to get a trucking job for another year. Does anyone agree with that or know if there are companies that will hire someone with this on their record?

    Apergis Transportation, Tacoma, WA - I'm not recommending it as a good company, because I don't know for sure. May be worth looking into, in your situation.

    Hope you have your drinking and driving situation under control!! Don't need any more people with CDLs drinking while on-duty & giving the rest of us a bad rep!!! BTW, get stopped for DUI with a CDL and your BAC is over 0.02 you're busted!!! (even in your personal vehicle)

    Also, all apps I have filled out list DUIs/DWIs separately from moving violations, thus giving you 1 DUI & 1 moving violation.

    Yeah I had my DUI in my personal vehicle. Big mistake.
