I did my research and choose Roehl's RDTC school. There are a few of us from this board here now and we LOVE IT!!!

Well it depends on your level of experience. I recently retired from the military and went to a 160 hour CDL school (Desert Truck Driving School) in Nevada and finished the course in 15 days. That was possible because I had a background in working on, and driving heavy equipment in the military so I knew the names of components on the truck which made learning the Pre-Trip much easier. Backing trailers also came easy because of my background. On the other hand, if you have no experience whatsoever, I recommend a long course. You won't feel so overwhelmed at the material being presented. Goodluck!

Roehl's School is about 3 weeks to get your cdl. Then 2 sessions of 10-13 days of over the road experince with a trainer that you get paid for. These sessions are intended to poish your driving skills and teach you the technologies they use. Get rolloing and get paid sooner - 1 reason I chose Roehl.
