^ I agree down with lazy boys stubbing peoples toes...
Anyways, as far as lease purchase programs are concerned 24 hour periods on breakdown and layover are the norm and to expect anymore is just being greedy. You are a trucker who can get loads and deliver them 24 hours a day, so until that full 24 hours has been unused you dont qualify for breakdown or layover.
You also talked about prime being a better lease purchase. ARE YOU HIGH? Prime is one of if not the most expensive lease purchase programs out there. Not only that but if you work yourself into a good freight channel were you are making good money, they will take you from that channel and put there company drivers on it instead. If you dont believe me talk to some of the successful lease operators from prime and ask them.
All in all your arguments about this company seem to be done in anger and one of little experience in lease purchase programs. I hope you dont do another lease purchase anywhere else until you figure out how to better manage running your own business first.

Well, my opinion of Prime isn't based off of having investigated their lease contracts, but simply from interacting with their drivers on more occasions that I would wish upon even my worst enemy. So, based on the quality of people they hire, I'm willing to bet their L/P agreements aren't that great either. At any rate, as so many others have said, leasing a truck from someone and then relying on them to provide you with the means to pay for that truck is simply stupid. There is NO other word for it. Ok, maybe naive. But if you are that naive you should at least be aware of it and understand that you need more experience before you can make a sound judgement one way or the other. And, if you are that naive, not doing so still makes you... can you guess it? Yes, STUPID.

I think we need to stop sugar coating our thoughts on people who go in for L/P then have a bad time of it then come post about it on these forums. Maybe if we get a little harsher people will finally get the idea? -
So you're saying that you're going by hearsay on primes contracts & admit that you don't know what's in the contracts?

Nope, not hearsay. I've heard nothing about their contracts, to be honest. I'm basing my judgement on other evidence of how the company and it's employees operate. Yes, I admit I don't know what's in the contracts. Do you know? What is it to you either way?

If you have the money for a lawsuit, why the heck would you do a l/p deal? Buy youre own truck, that is the only way to truly " be youre own boss". Truck is yours to go where you please and work for who you wish.
In the small print of every contract, or in a company handbook that you sign for, it always says that the company reserves the right to change policy as it anytime. Read the small print. -
